That is hard to believe for me personaly cause I have four model 700 remingtons and have never had a problem with any of them you might be thinking the model 710 wich is the model 770 now they are a pos in my opinion very cheap and you definetly get what you pay for with them no matter what you choose if your using it for one week a year of hunting you shouldn't be disapointed just stay away from the bottom models such as the Stevens and model 770 and such
yes the 770 is the worst made gun ive ever put my hands on but i was also talkin about the 700's, now im not talkin all 700's the ones of the past seem to have alot less problems. The problem these days with them are that remington mass produces so much and for what ive seen their QA/QC blows.
