Brule Lake sand dunes, Bruderhiem, Vega, the list goes on.

like the_real_wild1 said, trails are getting wider. the rzr 1000 is the same width as the 900 and plenty of guys trail ride those (myself included)

RZR 1000 at riverside and at south side cycle works i think its called. I measured it, It has a wider track width then the rzr 900. 67 inchs at full tire psi. I am sure it will be fine but the wife is worried about getting it because its a wide machine, Its between the rzr 800 xc or the rzr 1000... I am all for the rzr 1000 but if we cant ride it anywhere that would just be ****ty. I went to bruiderhiem area and the trails i saw where not really that wide just the staging area but i dont know if i was looking at a quad specific trail or what.

The 800 is way less expensive and will go every where the 1000 will go,,, actually more places in reality. Not quite as fast but do you need more top speed? sure if yer riding dunes 1000 all the way, but if yer going to be riding typical Alberta trails the 800 would get my vote.

We had the 800 rzr for 3 years. Picked up the 900 rzr.

Ride the same trails as before.

We found the 900 easier to ride on the trails

you miss the ruts because its wider. It does not tip as easy. More power for the mud and hills. Power steering is great for trails.

Also the ride over the ruts and bumps is great.

I would pick the 1000.

 If you realy want to know what is proposed for trails in ALBERTA :twocents: get a copy of the Alberta Recreation Corridor & Trails Calssification System ftom the Alberta Government. (780) 415-0267, or the Alberta Trail Net (780) 422-7150. Printed Version ISBN: 978-0-7785-5731-9
The only two Areas that I know about in the North part of Alberta that has implmented the 65" max width limit, is the Stanger Hills Area (Lac Ste Anne AVT Club) and the (New) Old Peace River Trail North of Athabasca, (North of Sawdy) and Runs to Smith AB +- 65 KMS One Way along the Athabasca River, "Both are Gated". and you think you might have problems! with my Rear tracks on my 2007 Polaris Ranger 6X6 it is 75", 18 " tracks over rubber with 3 " spacers. :bike:

I guess if you live in Alberta and strictly ride there all is good.
But if you ever plan on riding in BC have fun on the FSR logging roads and skid trails with the other trucks, jeeps and pickup bla, bla, bla cause thats about all you'll be able to ride.
The trails are mostly too narrow for something thats better suited for open country riding.

Its a cool looker but not very practical on trails around here imo.

I plan on riding it in alberta area. I am originally from bc (squamish area) and i know alot of jeep size trails it can go thru but thats about it

might just get the 800 and put a turbo on it later. If i get the 800 we will get the 800 xc 55 inch width one

buying a rzr 800 and turboing it is the absolute WORST THING you could possibly do.

a turbo rzr 800 can barely [won't] keep up to a stock 900, and then you factor in inferior suspension and turbo lag. not to mention the price of the turbo and install you will never get back.
