I have seen sleds with all of the idler wheels removed. I wonder if it is advisable to remove the front idler wheels closest to the limiter straps? Other than weight savings and looks, what would be the reason for this? Good idea? Bad idea?

Alot of people leave the front wheels on because that is where the most pressure is on the sliders. They will help the wear. With all of them removed it is supposed to be less rolling resistence which equals more power to the ground.

I had to put them back on, the sliders would wear down real fast at that spot. The rest would be like new. Running the track tighter slowed down the wear until I found a used set of idlers.
