performance modules do they work

i am new to 4strokes & i am picking up a 08 nytro mtx tommorow it has a power commander on it right now but i also see you can buy a performance modules for the nytro do these modules work they say up to 25 horsepower increase does anybody have any experience with this.they are made by genesis performance thanks
