Well my riding buddies will be happy to know that I upgraded my seat on the 2001 RMK this week.

I guess they were a little to prissy to accept my backwoods Red Neck ways...Hmmmm

The new seat is now roughly 5" taller and built to follow the contour of the gas tank.

It's all black and has no Rips - I'm going to miss those rips!!!

If it's like the new hood last year...it won't be that new for too long. One good pull, a slight mistake and on the way down it will get ripped - Black Duct Tape - a man's best friend.
Nice if it comes to that i have a knife we can put some rips into the new one lol

If you want me to take it in tomorrow I can, he could have it before we leave. After that he's away on holidays for a few weeks.

Hey, that looks pretty good. Have you ridden it yet? How did he do that, replace all the foam in it and recover it? Is the material on top slippery?

That might be a good option for upgrading my 03 ZX. I can't bring myself to pay for a BOSS but it would still be nice to have a higher seat.

He cut a bunch of the old foam out to reduce the weight, added a better foam back in then custom designed the front to meet the gas tank from the green template I supplied him. The top is sticky like a boss seat and the sides are normal -50 degrees vinyl.
He does awesome work
