4 stroke have more torque and are more fuel efficient but cost more to maintain and is more complicated to maintain ( the need of proffesional usually needed.) 2 strokes are faster lighter, but over heat in the tighter trails and are fuel inefficient. Im going to be riding trails wherever i can soo yea... I keep hearing how great KTM's are ( which im sure they are) and they invest lots of time and money into making offroad bikes. But damn are they expensive, but im guessing thats partly due to how they hold their value well. Would it be worth it for me to save for a KTM ( ex. 125 sx or 150 sx) ??
