Need help with kitty kat

wondering if someone can help me out just bought a kitty kat for my son the guy i picked it up from said it was a 1977 but when i look on the side it says 7/77 so would that be considered a 78 whats the easyiest way to tell also where can i get parts in canada for it

Its likely a 78 model year, sure someone will chime in. It should have the suzuki engine in it.......you can go to KITTY CAT SNOWMOBILES | Photos, Parts Info, and Message Boards for a wealth of info. The dealers can still get most of the parts as they didn't really change through out the production years other then decals and seat covers.......other than the switch to a Suzuki engine from Kawasaki in the mid 70's. Kijiji or ebay is a good place to find parts also. And of course on these and many other forums, many members have stashes of parts lying around........Welcome to snow and mud!

Yup its got the suzuki engine i though it would be 78 aswell thanks for the info crazee james
