This is my first thread post and unfortunately it comes with an ask for advise.
Went riding in Revy with Dobir,
CatWoman, Scuba, Mattmedic, Jeepchick, Merlin (sorry Dale if that isn't the correct spelling)and a few others, and put a small hole in the cowling under the primary clutch.
Well of course in the 2 feet of powder, the snow would get in and make the belt slip. 3 peices of duct tape fixed it right up for the rest of the trip but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a more permanent fix.

An autobody shop could do a plastic weld and patch the hole. do you have any photos of the damage?

how small of a hole are ya talking about
if it is small enough you could put a bolt n nut on it with some washers if it is a bit bigger plastic weld would be your best bet

There are lots of plastic repair products out there beside welding as well. there also alot of adhesives. The trick to repairing right is nowing what kind of plastic it is. You would be amazed how many diffrent kinds of plastics there are out there. There are a few simple tests you can do to see what kind it is. heres a link to some adhesives.
