grizzly front diff locker issues

anyone have some hands on experience with front diff not locking on there grizzly 700?. anything specific i should look for?. it is not my machine, but i am to fix it.
i know it is not locking for sure as i have had it in the air and tried to lock it and turn the tires....

is there something that always fails on these?

Probably the shift fork in the front diff.If the diff lock gets used when you are allready stuck it will not engage all the way ,and then the fork gets bent .It is a common problem.Best thing is to have a few revolutions of the tires after engaging diff lock.

Can you hear it actually engaging, does it not engage in neutral/lo/high or reverse? Has it been under water, maybe its the oil?
