Go Pro Hero2 mounts

I just bought a hero 2 kit and have these tape mounts to the helmet or wherever a guy wants to stick them. I have put one on the top of the helmet after cleaning etc and it seems like a solid mount, but is anyone concerned about losing their cameras or does a guy make a tether? Lots of great video out there so wondering whats the best way or am I just paranoid?

You can buy the GoPro tethers for $20-$25 for a pack of 5, or I've heard some guys using fishing line leaders.
