i have a garmin rino 520
this is a US radio so its 5 watts of power,
it comes with an external mic/speaker

we use it on a quad at hunting,
i cant seem to get the interal mic working i dont know if its a setting i changed, we have alway used it with the external mic/speaker, that way the radio never leaves the mount, but its easy to talk on, we have had this radio three or four years, it gets about ten days of use every year, just used it this year agian, works great, just upgrading to the bigger screen that is easyer asking 250 plus shipping
