Fuel controller needed for slp full exhaust on an 09 m8

I have heard 2 stories about this. one person said the 09's didn't need the fuel controller and the other said it did. Can any one with insight on this please confirm either way?? thanks

SLP's website says no controller. They should know.

I heard if running at altitude its good to have to prevent meltdown.

I have full SLP pipe on my 09 M8, and almost 9000 km. i also put in a arctic cat sno pro air intake. runs great
