Well...it was rocks, rocks and more rocks, the higher we went the less snow there was, so we turned around and came back down. You would have to almost go right into elkford before getting any snow. Maybe we were just in the wrong area. Dose anyone know what trial leads to some good ridding areas? like how to get over to elkford?
Thanks

It's a pretty difficult endeavour to get to Elkford from that neck of the woods. Too many plowed roads; plain and simple! If you can get to Grave Lake, it is pretty much ditch banging from there to Elkford and that's probably 25 kms.

At Elkford we have a skinny 24" and maybe some wind blown areas that are a little more, but we need another dump badly.

Not sure where you were out there.Im guessing going towards fording pass.

There usually isn't much snow at the Alberta/BC boarder. There is a pretty big stretch that is sketchy for snow all the time. It usually gets better once you get on the BC side. But have to remember its no Golden or Revy.Especially at this time of the year.:beer::beer:

Ya you got that right. Oh well, it was still a ride, couldn't really think of anything better to be doing. I hope we get some snow soon, BEFORE christmas, heading back home to Kimberley and wanting to do some riding!

Take fording pass into elkford. From there u can get to burning mountain. Not sure, but i head it was closed. As well if u get to the road and head north, up there turn in at the big horns cabin. Good riding up in there, but pack gas. Personnally it is faster to ride that area if u go through fording vs driving up there.
