01 800 summit need new top end what should a guy use.as stock parts are to much$$$$ and you peeps must know better.let me know:d:d

look to the aftermarket. I'd suggest steer clear of wiseco, clearance issues.
spi with dual rings, cheap and work well. if you are looking for future motor upgrades, check with aftermarket performance builders and get their rebuild kit now and maybe later some more perf goodies.

Use Factory pistons or RK tek duel ring. I really like them in my 05 Rev and they were about $100 cheaper than stock pistons. Weisco and SPI work good and are cheaper yet, but have a shorter life span than factory or RKtek.

my 01 800 didnt like spi's(3 sets) pins kept coming loose ring would turn and catch port.
put in stock,very pricey but runs great now
