I've been throwing around the idea of trying to get one last ride in for the season this long weekend. The wife and I may find ourselves kid-less and I'm thinking of pitching a sled trip idea to her.

We have ZERO mountain experience and given the recent activity that is not an option. Usually we ride from home but that won't happen again until next year...

SOOOO...Is there anywhere left that still has snow and would be alright for beginner riders, I know there will be nothing left anywhere around edmonton by weekend but who knows maybe some other areas aren't as warm this week.

Thanks

Bogger

If you are into a bit of a drive you might want to consider Barkerville.
Ckeck in with the Wells Snowmobile Club.
Just came back from there and there is lots of snow.
If your wife does not have a lot of confidence there is about 5 or so trail hrs. of riding if they have been groomed .
One of the motels has a wkend package that is very resonable.
Make sure you contact someone in the know in Wells before you leave
to get the latest conditions.

BarkerVille to Yanks peak is all groomed trail, about 8 feet wide, there's lots of play area so it's best to get in touch with someone that knows the area.BTW trail passes are $13 available in Wells at the gas station.

Try Tumbler Ridge, Hasler, or Pine Pass. All closer than Barkerville. TR has soon very good and easy access hills and trails in the Babcock and Bullmoose area's
