Hey folks ... we've heard tons of mud slinging lately about all those red plates at the staging areas in BC.

Read this news article.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/cana...-in-rural-bc-community/ar-BB1bzoWb?li=AAggNb9

It seems everyone is the master of their own destiny.
No matter which side of the border you're on the message is quite simple - stay put or run a GREATER RISK of getting Covid.

I , for one, support keeping the borders open and keeping the good relationships and businesses of BC and AB strong for many years to come.
JUST WEAR a MASK, SOCIALLY DISTANCE and SANITIZE your HANDS/ Clothing, etc. Those that don't, put themselves and their cohorts at risk.

After all, it is nice to be able to cross border shop in AB without any PST..... plus ... BC wines taste pretty darn good with that AAA AB steak too!! ... just sayin .... :)

True ... but it also confirms that BC folks aren't even listening to their own governments health advice.

Also, they could have had Covid before they left for AB, as it can take up to 14 days to show signs.
It's not likely they were in AB for 2 weeks for an old timers hockey match up, caught Covid, then returned home with it ...

Those media folks think everyone reading their articles isn't wise enough to think it through .... but we did ... LOL

I thought sports was banned until further notice in AB unless approved by the province?

For Caper11 - Team sports (like hockey, volleyball, basketball, curling, etc...) that have an actual team aspect are currently restricted.

This would not include a snowmobiler as there is no team component (as an example - hunting). A person can still go on a frozen pond and shoot a puck around as long as there is no team gathering. Also, folks are still allowed to gather outdoors to a max of 10. Kind of a twisty set of rules but that's how she sits right now in AB.

But as far as the old timers hockey get together that apparently prompted the Vancouver Sun to write the article - YEP!
It would have been illegal to hold that event - assuming they had it after the restrictions came into effect .... which may or may not have been the case.
