Was up at BLUELAKE cabin on jan 2. One of my buddies misplaced a SOS back pack with a ortovox and a SOS beacon in the pack as well as a shovel and probe. He may have left at the cabin that night. There was a large group there that was from camrose and wondering if they may have saw anything there, or possibly in parking lot....costly mistake as he borrowed all the gear....

I guess one of the result's of puffin weed is becoming brain dead. I do a lot of different activities and at 50+ yrs of age i can assure you i've never left my gear behind....or forgot where i put it LOL.
Good luck finding the stuff. I know if i found it i wouldn't give it back unless your buddy could describe it....it kinda sound's like that wouldn't happen.

That's too bad, hard lesson learned.

For what its worth at this point, I was at Blue first thing this AM and no backpack. Check with the Club, the groomer was up there last night so they may have found it, it would then go to the Best Western or Gord..Sherm
