I think they are working with the 4WDABC. The channel is Ladd2 with some tone that they keep secret but even a cheap baofeng can also scan tones so not sure what the secrecy deal is about. It is also licensed at only 5 watts which is good to talk to your buddy behind you but not for an emergency. It looks like they also don't program any of the forestry coloured repeaters which cover most of BC. Anyone with a radio should know where they are and how they work.
