I just came across this:

"TMTV has just received a report of a second avalanche in as many days in the Kootenays. This time involving snowmobilers. A rescue is underway near the east Kootenay town of Kimberley, in BC's southern interior. No word on any injuries or how many people are involved in the avalanche. On Friday morning an avalanche killed a skier near the Kootenay community of Kaslo"

We rode the St. Mary's Valley near Kimberley today...We were riding in SAFE zones, but had to cross AVY run outs on the way in. A couple class 3 and one class 4 slides had run FULL path within the last 48 hrs. One deposit was at least 25' deep. Ride safe this weekend...the CAC has been updating regularly and it has changed for the worse since yesterday mornings bulletin. Welcome to avalanche.ca
