I bought a 1999 ZL600 and at low speed it hesitates and backfires but at full throttle it is fine has anyone had this problem if so what was the problem?

Change your spark plug caps they are loose fitting on the plugs buy the expenive one's from arctic cat for M8's years 07-09 your 600 is a high RPM motor and it needs good caps and new plugs NGK BR9EYA engine rpm should be 8500 - 8700 RPM

and if that don't fix it check the compression

and I have a twin pipe chip for the ECM for that machine for real cheap made by Black Magic

I replaced the caps and plugs still doing the same thing but thank you and about the chip do i need to pipe the sled in order to use that chip?

is there slack in the throttle cable and the little bushings under the thumb lever were the pin goes though might need to be replaced and is your clutch in good shape all of these can cause problems

the chip should be used with pipes
