I've got an '05 900RMK 166" with a slp pipe, can, and air box kit. I was wondering if anyone has an suggestions on improving the clutching? I've read a lot about changing the gears which I think I'll do any ways just wondering if anyone has any clutch ideas?

Here's what I was given from another owner of a 900. I haven't tried this setup yet. My sled is running pretty good and I decided not to mess with the clutching. I did re-gear and seems like a good mod. It's easy, fairly cheap and can be switched back quickly.

Primary. Black/green spring
11-74 gram weights
Secondary clutch. Change helix to. 60/46/46.
Polaris Part 5133789
Change spring to titanium
140/300
Team Part # toa930700 009
930711 retaining cup required
On 166 inch tracks, change 19/39 gears to 19/42. No changes are required for 151 or 159 inch tracks.

Thanks for the info. If I change the gears to 19/42 will I have get a new chain? Would you happen to know the stock clutch springs?? I haven't dug out the spec's sheet yet.

When you changed the gears did you have to buy a new chain or could you use the stock one?
