CTV News is reporting that one person is dead following an avalanche at Whistler, B.C.
CTV reports the avalanche occurred on Blackcomb Mountain and that one person is dead.
The RCMP is not confirming what happened.
A spokeswoman at Whistler Blackcomb would only say that there was an incident on Wednesday in an out-of-bounds area of Blackcomb.
However, she wouldn't confirm the avalanche or the fatality, but says more information will be released from the RCMP.
There are currently avalanche warnings in place for much of southern B.C., including Whistler.
