Sportcenter reported tonight Major League Baseball is thinking of suspended 20 players for use of performance enhancing drugs based on testimony from a guy who sold said drugs to the stars. Players already linked are A-Rod, Miguel Cabrerra and Ryan Braun. The Commissioner is considering a 100 game suspension for all involved. Also the NHL is considering making all new players entering the league starting next year to have mandatory visor use, hybrid icing, shallower nets for more room behind the net and mandatory helmet compliancy when fighting. Lots going on tonight.

IMO when an athlete uses performance drugs they are cheating their fans, employers and the love of the game.

99%of top athletes today use or have used performance inhancing drugs, from the profesionals
to the high school stars. Some are just better at hiding it than others. Its been like that for at least 20years.

Certain guys like Wayne Gretzky and a very few others of the modern great athletes are probably all natural but they are rare.(Wayne just had alot of Talent)

Look at Lance Armstrong, they make it seem like the guy is total Dirt bag now because of the "blood doping" even though guaranteed any one of his top 20 competators was doing the same thing but just never got cuaght.

These guys arent hero's,, they are only Humans. They want to win,be successfull and make lots of money. They do what they have to do. When everyone else is doing it,, thats what you have to do to succeed.

Make no mistake though,, they are still top athletes,, You could take all the drugs you wanted and still never beat Lance in the tour de France....

Did I hear Don Cherry correctly when he described the hybrid icing???

If the defenceman is ahead at the dot of the face-off circle, they will call it when the puck crosses the line.
If there is a race and the two are tied at the dot of the face-off circle, they will let them race for the puck.

So Cherry says, "if there is no chance of injury they will blow the whistle, if there is a chance of injury they will let them play!"
