Hi there from the Island of Haida Gwaii, this problem seemed to come on very quick it is hard starting to try and eliminate i've changed the spark plug, drained the fuel, drained the carburator, checked the air filter for being damp or foreign objects, checked the clutch housing. I tried starting it this morning and it took a bit of whinning over and finally started, same as the other day when i went to start it cold i had to keep working the choke to keep it running and there was excessive smoke which is not normal and working the throttle it is popping back through the exhaust and once it gets engine heat there is no more problem clean running and good power, and starts instantly when it is warm. anybody got any ideas as we don't have a yamaha dealership on the islands.
