As per title I have a 98 Indy trail that I want to replace the factory ski's on.
Is there a decent ski off of a newer sled that will bolt on?
As far as aftermarket ski's go Camoplast seem to popular and aren't too
expensive,are they half decent? They make a 5" wide and a 7" wide,since this
old girl isn't the lightest thing on the snow I assume the 7" would offer a little
better lift. (main reason for ski upgrade is weight)

Sorry in advance if I have posted in the wrong forum,at first I thought it was a gen1
(I have other post's there on the same machine) but I see there are similar machines to mine
posted here,so maybe now I'm in the right forum.
Help please,Thank's

Aftermarket ski's are roughly 3-5 lbs each.Factory steel ski's are 20lbs each plus the skin.
That's ALOT of weight I could take off the old girl.Carbides are completely gone on the factory
ski's and it just doesn't seem worth it to me to buy new runners on these old heavy things.

The skis off a 99 rmk will bolt on. I did this with a mid 90's indy 500.

Update..........Got gen I simmons for my old summit, so I did some tweeking and put the flex ski's
off of the summit onto the polaris. With the milling on the spindles that had to be done,it wan't easy,
but I wasn't in the mood to spend $400 locally on a cheep pair of ski's that would bolt up.

Bad new's is carbides and wear bar's are almost toast on the flex ski's.
Good new's is the sled is approx. 25 or more pounds lighter now.
