With the success of last year’s event, we are having our 2nd Annual Ladies Ride this year! For those who did not attend the ride last year, don’t get your panties tied in a knot, as this is an enjoyable day of riding for EVERYONE, from the “never ridden” beginner, to the “I can out do any man out there” kind of Lady. Please read the following information before filling out your registration form!
This years ride is on Saturday March 10th, all ladies are to be ready and in the upper Ashton/Brash parking lot by 9 am. After assembling, several groups will be formed based on comfort level and similar riding abilities which will be lead by guides who know the mountain and are knowledgeable and experienced in the sport. This is one change from last year’s event, as splitting into several smaller groups will allow for more riding during the day on terrain suitable to everyone’s skills.
Because this is a “Ladies Ride”, another change that has been made from last year’s event is that Gentlemen wanting to join in on the day must come looking like a Lady! If they aren’t man enough to do so, or would just rather not, they are more than welcome to drop you off and get you started if need be, as well as take care of you at the end of the day, but must go off and do whatever else they choose to do. Not to worry however, as there will be more than enough people to help each other out when needed, and our guides, who are tough guys, are more than prepared to dig us out! Mind you, there is a huge sense of achievement when us ladies work together to get each other unstuck!
Before everyone heads off the mountain at the end of the day, groups will assemble at the chalet to reminisce about the day’s events, prizes will be handed out, and a group photo will be taken. All participants should leave the mountain feeling light hearted and empowered, proud of their achievements, not to mention a little stiff and sore from the days awesome ride. New friendships and great memories are sure to be made!
The registration fee is $20. This fee helps cover the cost of advertising, use of the groomed trail as well as lunch, which is provided for the day.
That evening there will also be a Dinner & Dance Fundraiser in which everyone is welcome to attend for more socializing, door prizes, a silent auction, 50/50 and a good chance of winning a Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacation! Tickets are being pre-sold for $50. They just went out this week and are selling quickly!

Please note that the use of drugs and/or alcohol will not be tolerated while taking part in this event. In addition, riders over the age of 16 are preferred but not limited to taking part in the day.
