2009 assault blew up

[2009 rmk assault 800]

I recently bought a 2009 assault and it was warming up and it locked up because a piece of my cylinder broke off and fell in my crank case. the whole motor is shot, but i have been looking and i cant find anew motor for it but what i did find is a 2011 assault 800 with few miles on it and its never been rebuilt and is promised to run. i am wondering if i could fit a 2011 into my 2009 with out having to spend too much to make it fit? I know the 2009s have had problems and all that but i really like the sled and i wanna fix it. anything that will help would be awesome.

The bottom end all matches up, crank/seals/bearings will work for you. The top end is where you're going to run into issues. The cylinders/piston kits/gaskets are all different. In 2009 the assault had a four injector system and the 2011 it runs a two injector.

a 2010 should fit no problem though right? or are they 2 injector too?
