alright...........

my truck idles around 600rpm +- normally. which is where i like it.

once in a while ( like once a month) ill start up the truck and it will spike to 1600-2000 and stay there for the duration of the drive. even if i try shutting it down and starting it again it stays there. if i leave it sit for a couple hours or over night it will be right back to normal. its anoying driving like that because its hard on the tranny and harder to stop.

the only thing i can think of is that when i shut it off some sensor or valve or solenoid isnt closing properly and when i start it later it is stuck open a bit.

but im not familiar with the throttle/idle system on the new electronic motors.

thanks!!

get some carboncleaner (throttlebody cleaner)
remove ure throttlebody
spray her clean
remove the iac sensor (clean it real good !) but remove the o rings before applying the throttlecleaner

for hard debriss use a toothbrush

thats what i would do first
see if it changes anything
if it does (cheap fix) if not well than we gotta look for soemthing else :) (but at least ure throttlebody is clean)
