I was out cooling off from the hot weather tonight on my quad in my subdivision. A couple neighbours were doing the same. Long story short we ended up having a race on range road 214. Good times!!!

First race RZR 900 against my Tcat. Not even close of course, big machine compared to quad. Understandable. Next race was against a Canam xt 800, closer but still I was way ahead in a few hundred yards.

Thundercat, fast and put the Neighbors to shame!!

Don't know about everyone elses area, but around here people think that canam is the best thing since sliced bread. So many people think that the canam 800 is better all around then any of the arctic cat ATV's. Which is kind of the same thing for a 1000 vs 800. We're comparing apples to oranges, if there was two quads with the same displacement, they could get the tape measure and whip out their birds to compare.

But in the end we all know cat's technology is lacking in the ATV's. A scrambler 1000 vs a thundercat would end exactly how everyone thinks. I do like the 2012+ mud pro axles, strong as the gorillas stock which is a plus.

The big 3 are all heavy .... But stock the Scrammy is the fastest quad ever built to date ....and certainly the best handling of the 3 ......IMO . The power of a scrammy is smooth and deceiving . With a little clutch work , and a tune this bike is well over a 100hp at the crank.... It is insane.

I use a small independent shop outside the city, they are not brand loyal. They claim all quads (yes even Canam) should have a battery maintainer.

Why a battery maintainer?

Most ECU's have memory that requires power plus a clock. If they sit for weeks at a time it will make your battery last longer.

Lol it's anything with an ECU and a battery. Even your bushing eating axle snapping popo. It helps your battery have a nice long healthy life
