6 podium finishes for cat at the highlifter Quadna mud nationals. Looks like the 1000 faired pretty well in " professional racing". Lol

thats at Quadna Mud Nationals ... it a one time event... not a series... its same as the Mud nationals i went too twice now in Texas.. a one time event every year.... what i am talking about is the CMR professional series... of 7 stops right across the mid south... in the professinal series there is not one Aritic Cat on the poudium at any of the 7 stops...let along winning the world tiltle.... many of the pro racers dont do the mud nationals cause it does not give them points for the series... it so happens Artic Cat showed very well here... must of been cause the real mud guys ride can am and did not attend....those names i have not even heard of... maybe they should come and race in the pro series....

they always say pro class even if its a park sponsored thing... its there pro class... not the general governing body of the CMR which is more like doing a series ... like nascar, drag racing or even supercross.... sure there will always be small mud national events like this that other machines will do good in...



so just to justify ... sorry i should have said CMR... and not a general comment.... of course what you posted there makes my statement look false.. just had to correct that... thanks for pointing it out....

look.. here is the thing... you stick enough money into any machine and you can make it a winning piece....so does not matter what it is.... in stock form thou the Arctic Cats are a bit behind Polaris and Can am in factory performance parts...otherwise they are a great quad... nothing wrong with it...

My 90cc will do 50k, if you compare the cc to top speed ratio it has all your big bore machines beat to hell.

Update on Snow and Mud after a few years.... Haven't been on here in a while. Plowing a light bit of snow, in March! Still using the T-Cat.......... 2700 km's on it. Runs like new, so far it is the best quad I have ever owned. And yes it does top out at 80 MPH.

makes "My quad is the best" thread.. Gets mad when people brand bash.

That renegade 1000XXC I had last year absolutely DESTROYED my buddies Tcat 1000. But that Scrambler 1000 sure gave me a run for its money.... It had 27" mudlights on it though and mine had the stock holeshots and still.. it was hit or miss with winning those races. Im sure if he had stock tires on it I would have consistently lost those... Those scrambler 1000's are FAST.

AT the drags, at the Battenfelder rodeo we had over a few years, scrambler 1000's competing in the stock class with the stock 1000 canams.. most the time the can ams where faster thru the 300 ft all thou, if you did not have a good start at the tree, you would loose to the scrambler. Most the times thou the 1000 can ams where a machine length quicker thou. Throw on some aftermarket clutches, onto the can ams and the scrambler would loose by about 3 or 4 lengths ... aftermarket clutching brings out all the hidden power of the motor because it takes that power and puts it to the ground effectively and efficiently which stock cluthing does not.
The T cat thou, has a long way to go before it can compete with the can ams in the performance world, thats a given. There are only two manufacturers that keep there machines at the top of the performance world, and that is can am and polaris.

The T CAT is 9 years old now. It cant compare to the latest and greatest big bore machines. Not for the money by the way. However.... my point is.... it has been a tough powerful reliable quad. Has cost me nothing in almost 9 years of ownership and I have enjoyed it.

And it will out run any BRP 800 in the same year and later. Polaris 850 is a boat anchor in comparison. :eek:

Thunder Kitty needs some new shoes. Still riding on the originals. Thinking about Maxxis Bighorn 2.0. Good all round tire. Anyone have any honest thoughts? The same quad (Arctic cats 1000's) run these from the factory.

Thanks to anyone who has run these tires on a similar bike.

The 2:0s are not a great tire .
There are better , and again it depends on where and how you ride ...
But there are many better options than a bighorn 2 .
