Which will be better for longer reliability...

Appreciate the replys fellas, was leaning hard to the suzy and yammy side already but wanted to hear from guys who owned and had experience with the brands.

Looking at the can am L because the price is right...how can ya go wrong with a warranty like that, but have heard clutching may not be the best from stock!

Gonna be pullin the trigger in June for a NEW machine, anyone know a Central AB dealer that will let ya demo a suzy or a yammy?

The 750's are a contender too. They are a very comparable ride to the grizz in terms of weight, clearance, and performance. The consensus though seems to be the Yammi over the Zuki but you'll probably get the king quad for a better price.

8 years and 5300 kms on my stock clutch, never had an issue on with my Can Am. If you put big tires on you may want a clutch kit to raise the RMP a bit, other than that, bulletproof.

Just talked to the one of my farmer buddies I know , he has a 2009 800 max he uses almost everyday , has 20 000 kms on it all stock with 26 inch mudzillas , and has his belt snorkled , he's went on a few rallies with it , but mostly used on his big farm , and hunting , hasn't had no major problems , other then regular maintaince ,

Stay away from the 850 Polaris, hubby had one for a year, blew the frost plug, steering was loose, made noise in the diffs, friend had same machine , power steering would come and go, axles breaking, and we do not ride our machines hard at all, only mod is better tires. We have had about 7 Yamaha 700's, excellent machine, NEVER had any issues with them, the son still has the last 700, I had the 550 for a few years, NEVER an issue. We decided to try Can-am, hubby the 800 me the 650. My first weekend out and bent the tie rod, nothing crazy, just trying to get over a slippery tree root. This would never have happened with Yamaha. Ball joints changed after one season, worse than Honda. only thing is tires. Love the ride and the sound and power of the can-ams though and they are very stable. Keeping them until Yamaha comes out with a twin, the minute they do, I am getting rid of the 650. These machines are expensive enough, don't want to keep paying for repair parts.

And 5300 km on my 2007 650XT with original suspension, original ball joints and original tie rods. Dealer serviced and inspected every spring and have never had to replace anything you mentioned.

Yes forgot to mention, the only mods I will be making for sure are tire upgrade (have 27x12" swamplites that I like, and will just do a tire swap from my old puzzy cat to whatever I decide....kinda leaves the 14" polaris out of it) and snorkels. Snorkels will be added not because I want to go in the deep skeg but because I wanna be sure the components are protected. As it is right now if my azz gets wet I know I stand a chance that my air filter is gettin wet too....bwahahahahaha

No one has any personal experience with the can am L 500??

King quad for the win, Tough, run forever, no problems over 7 yrs riding, Was drivin on it's side lots a few roll overs, good bike, lots of up grades if you want. Not as fast as some, or as slow as some, Cheap to own, cheap to run, Fun fun fun,

Where's the honda checkbox? If you going small bore I would go pickup a nice power steering honda with the IRS.

Times sure change. Not that many years ago when the reputation was the opposite, but frankly your right, a low speed farm machine.

My thoughts to! I don't know where they got there good reputation. I would never put my granny on a Honda! I would put her on a machine that at least had brakes! Hondas brakes never work.

I'm trying to talk him out of it but the word value keeps coming up... then I reply good luck selling it after. So are they a good machine or still turds.

my opinion is they have to be cheap, real cheap, little to none aftermarket support, no dealer network for parts which will mean long wait for parts, if there are any. if it were me I would stay away, far away. i would consider it a throw away toy, bought very very cheap, with resell value of zero. one of those things you let your bud buy first, and see how it goes.

just my opinion!!!

rzrgade likes them????? although he drives a polaris and a kittycat. hmm he doe like hotsex though, go figure. lol
