Ruby Falls area 2014

Hey all. We haven't been up to Ruby Falls/Cardinal River Road for a number of years. Had heard they logged the s&%t out of the area. Anyone been up there this year? Can a guy still find a descent spot to camp? Any info much appreciated.

Not much has change around the grave flats area, at least not of last fall.

Was just up there a couple weeks ago. YoungPolarisGuy is correct, not too much has changed up near the Ruby Falls trail head. However, I did see quite a bit of logging on the way there along the Pembina River Road.

We did a day trip from Hinton on Aug. 10th. Unloaded outside Cadomin and rode over the Divide and along the Cardinal River road to the Ruby trail, then in to the falls. I saw lots of great places to camp. On a side note, that was a very long day trip from where we unloaded. Round trip was 120 km.

Thanks everyone. We are heading out there Sept 8 for 10 days. Have hit snow there in August but hoping for a little indian summer.
