Sounds to me like a GPS would be mandatory equipment. I have one if you know how to work it I'd up for the 21st.....

Sounds good to me. Im not a big fan of bruderhiem in the summer, where is a spot you would like to hit up. do you like long island lake just past westlock?

oh ya, been there once in the winter, and was there 2 weeks ago. Muskeg, good climbs, old gravel pit and good trails. miles of riding. I enjoyed it. No need to go through the muskeg because theres lots of trails around it.

Ah, Long Island Lake is kind of close to Vega. There's some good random camping around Vega, would I expect the same at Long Island Lake? Or is it more a staging area and provincial campground out there?

There is random camping out there. We stage in a area with fire pits on a old lease. Last time I was there, there was half a dozen campers boondocking. Some people were there for a week. Lots or room and difftent spots from what I could see. There is campsites there I don't know if you can quad in them to get to your site. I saw a private park and a provincial park in the area we were at just off the highway.
