Yep if you have them on a tender they will last forever. This quad was sitting in an unheated garage for probably a year without one and battery is about finished now...

Unfortunate question, anyone know somewhere in stoon I could get one of the nuts that slide under the battery posts to attach the bolt and power cable without paying an arm and a leg?

Just picked up my new battery from rapid Revolutions in Edm, for my 1000 Outlander. They have a couple different options, start at about $80 for the cheapo one. Cheapest place I could find a replacement in town (tried NAPA, CT, Costco, Wal-Mart, Dealers)

went Lithium Ion with my new battery with 2010 Outlander that i installed last fall, a lot more power for the same size and quicker recovery time with that poor charging systems on these units. Also discharge rate while storage is a fraction of any other battery. Have not yet really had put it thru a winching torture test yet but maybe soon
