power steering really not needed only really good in slow speeds other then that you don't even notice it

I agree I have 2 can ams the newer one has power steering older one doesn't..... The older quad is my wife's..... She never complained about steering it..... At slow speeds, loading trailer parking in garage , slow speed tight corners on trails it's noticeable but as soon as your above like 15-20kph hardly notice a difference. But on the other hand for the few extra bucks I'd still buy power steering

Still takes most of the jarring out of the bars in the roughy stuff too.

not onll does it make steering easier ie slow speeds , deep mud etc etc it also significantly reduces feedback from ruts etc etc no you dont need it but if u buy without it and ride someones with it you will be kickin your arse.
not sure about quads but put the unisteer kit in wifes rhino and works great

happy wife = more riding
