I would like to wish a Merry Christmas to all.

We did have a good year as far as the Calgary Quad Squad and family time was concerned. We made a trip across Canada this year. We left on the 15th of May and were back in Alberta by the 27th of June. We got to see all of the provinces to the east. The only exception being Newfound land. We just ran out of time visiting the rest of this great country. We did manage to take over 400 photos of some of the amazing beauty that our country has to offer and getting some of them on to my flicker web site is on my agenda over the next week.

We did manage to get some good quadding in during July and August. With the forests to the south being closed due to the dry weather we ventured back to the Waiparous area for some work bees and then headed to the Caroline area to check out their trails.
We spent most of August in the Caroline area and found some great trails. This area is very rider friendly, with out too much extreme riding. Although we did manage to find a few challenges that would get the old heart pumping.

September we were back in the local area and with the Garry's leadership on stewardship we managed to get the Last of the 80 ft bridges in and also 5 of our Drill stem crossing bridges in.
The Calgary Quad Squad received another load of Drill Stem pipe which was donated by Precision Drilling and thus is awaiting being used for our future bridges.

Our fall Rebels ride was held on Nov 17 and we saw 55 quads and 63 people attend another great turnout. This is what our sport or pastime is all about, People getting together to enjoy the beauty of the out doors and socializing with one another. I did enjoy cooking the sausages for all.

December saw the formation of the Bow Region Stewardship Society, which will be a funding source for our stewardship activities which will be on going throughout the next years.

I hope I didn't bore you all to death with this.
I also hope to see you all on the trails and on our stewardship activities in the new year

Don McKay and all the family, Marg, Matt, Becky.
