Hi; Does anyone know the legal age for kids to ride atv's in alberta ? I hear conflicting stories. I phoned the rcmp and they said 14 yrs. old. and my insurance agent says any age with special insurance providing an adult be present with them on another machine.
thankyou

well as long as his atv goes faster than the rcmp's atv I'd say any age, otherwise I'd listen to the cops, or keep it on private land

Says 14 to ride indepent, unless in imediate are to supervise (page 19 at bottom). There is the gray area. Is right in front or right behind you on a separate machine considered imediate area???
