They say the Elkas are a Huge upgrade over stock! My buddy installed 27” bighorns on his brute, tires worked really good on trail.

Agreed. Got them on my outlander. Not cheap but will transform the machine. You won’t regret getting them.

So I pitched the garbage stock tires and put some Maxxis Bighorn 3.0 tires on. I will report on them as I use them, they look great and will definitely improve the traction situation. I expect an improvement in ride quality also with the radial tires.

We had yamaha before we bought out outlander and renegade. If i was to go back i would buy another grizzily. But that being said i know a guy that bought a 2020 750 brute and with upgraded tires it was still cheaper then a grizzly

So I have 200kms on my Brute now.
The bighorn 3.0s are really good in everything but extreme mud. They ride much better than stock tires and have far better traction. They also don't give the vibration that dedicated mud tires do. I would buy them again.
The quad itself so far has been really good, the first service has been completed. The fuel mileage has improve a fair amount, and it always starts right up.
The clutching is really good for stock and I don't think I am going to mess with it at all.
The headlights suck....going to be upgrading them.

I had both, 2014 grizzly and I have a brute force now. The bf has a better seating position (longer) and is definitely more powerful other than that the grizzly outshines it IMO I’ll be going back to a grizzly soon .

After a summer of use I am quite happy, no issues whatsoever with the bike. The 4x4 engage is slow but I found if you are rolling it goes in quick, so I engage before I need it lol. The bighorn 3.0s are good, show no wear and I have had no flats. The stock shocks suck but my Elka stage 3's finally arrived after 3 months. I will give a review of them after I ride a bit and get them dialed in. The new dog carrier on the back I built works great for the dog and packing gear when hunting. I like the Brute force enough I have one coming for my wife.

Were you running the bighorn 3.0s on stock rims and did you ever have rubbing issues? I've heard that 11" wide tires in the rear come very close to the gas tank on stock rims and I really want them but don't want any rubbing to happen.

Stock wheels and no rubbing issues. I did use some course foam in the fuel tank cover to prevent it filling with mud and swelling out. I have 1000kms on the bike now.

Awesome!! I know you now have elkas but what was your stock suspension dialed in at? Because I seen a post where someone had 26" bighorn 3.0s and the right rear tire was about an inch away from the tank at most. Here's a screenshot of his post. I'm at like 720km so far, I absolutely love this machine! I put some 25x8r12 and 25x10r12 Kenda Executioners on aftermarket rims with a 5+2 offset for when I'm mudding or winter riding but I'd like some actual good all terrain tires for summer when I'm doing other kinds of riding. I've been looking at the 3.0s for awhile but also debating on getting Kenda Bearclaw HTRs or Sedona Coyotes

I run the 25-10x12 on the rear of my bike. With the elkas I can have my dog ride on the back with me, and I dial up the compression, remove the compression when solo. The elkas also settled the bike a bunch when going over uneven terrain, they keep all four tires on the ground. They are a huge improvement over stock.

Oh okay, thanks! I didn't realize you could get big horn 3.0s in something smaller than 26x11-12
