This is my trip to the crash site. Starting at York Creek staging area there are signs along the trail leading up there. Do you have a garmin gps? If so send me your email address and i can send you my trail maps that can be loaded into your gps.

Check with the quad squad first heard the government closed the trail might need a permit to ride from staging area

Good ride today. Went up to the plane crash and then south almost all the way to lynx. Am going to stage farther south next time to cover some more ground that way.

I can’t believe they want to close that area. Rode 75 km and didn’t even see as much as a cigarette butt for garbage so there is no reason in my eyes to close it.

Beautiful Part of Alberta.
That Dakota crashed over 70 years ago, like its frozen in time .
Seven Canadian Military fatalities .
A unique mountain top memorial for anyone to offer deserved respect.

It would be a sad day to have access denied to this area !

Likely the people pushing for the closure will never visit the area to see that there is no garbage and that you are not changing your oil into the creek!
