My wifes 2012 550 TRV GT started giving us issues on our last ride in Cadomin. The EFI started to flash. Found a loose connector at the MAP sensor. Played with it a bit and was able to get it to run (EFI was still flashing) so we could finish our trip after we got flooded out (different story).

Anyway, I took the front plastics off for easy throttle body access and to check the other systems.
Turns out the MAP had no O-ring and was fouled with dust. I had it and the TPS sensors replaced at the dealer a couple years ago. Not happy with the dealer at all about that.
I will be ordering a new MAP sensor, o-ring, and the connector repair kit (the seal inside the plug was damaged while fiddling with it onsite). Best price I have found was $140.00 for the sensor, $20 for the plug. The sensor is OEM, the plug is not.
2 questions:
First, will mixing the new OEM sensor with the aftermarket plug be okay? Arctic Cat does not seem to have an OEM repair connector kit.
Second, any thoughts on the cheapest place to order the sensor?

Rm stator sells all the connectors now. Aftermarket plug is fine.

Cat didn’t make the wires long enough and it’s a common problem. Check countrycat.com and eBay. Make sure you check/reset your TPS after you install it. You may also have to reset your ISC.
EFI will also flash with a low or poor battery. Keep it on a battery tender.

I would clean up the sensor and check it with a multi meter it may test ok or become a good spare. Second the aftermarket connectors wont cause any concerns as long as there sealed. I found Babbits to have decent pricing but it's in USD and of coarse shipping. $78.00 for the sensor. Those repair kits will be available in Edmonton just not sure where, I would start with MRO electronics. Another option is Deutz connectors there are available everywhere top quality and easy to use. They are designed to be taken apart, repaired and reused. All the parts can be purchased separately. Another concern is if you have failed a map sensor from dirt ingestion, how much damage was done to the cylinder wall? Has it started using oil or pushing out blue smoke?

No apparent issue with the engine. No smoke or anything from the exhaust.
After I removed the sensor, I did clean it and the throttle body port and ran it. The efi code still flashed. Hypothetically, if it was just dirty, and was in working order after a cleaning, would I need to clear the code, or would it see it works and clear itself? Don't know if its like a car.

Thanks for the recommendations. Checking/resetting the TPS and ISC is virgin ground for me. I would love some good direction, or instructions, even recommend a decent youtube vid. You have always provided great advice in the past for a few other maintenance questions with this machine.

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE
(MAP) SENSOR
1. Disconnect the MAP connector from the pressure
sensor located on top of the throttle body.
2. Select DC Voltage on the tester and turn the ignition
switch to the ON position.
3. Connect the black tester lead to the black/green
wire and the red tester lead to the orange/blue
wire. The meter should read 4.5-5.5 DC volts. If
the meter does not read as specified, check the
ECU connector or wiring.
4. Connect the MAP to the harness; then using Maxi-
Clips, connect the red tester lead to the
brown/white wire and the black tester lead to the
black/green wire. With the engine running at idle
speed, the meter should read approximately 1.5
DC volts.
*NOTE: If the meter does not read as specified,
replace the sensor.

UPDATE
Got all the parts from Country Cat. By far the nest price of all i've seen. Even bought the proper diagnostic harness for $9. Wired up the new connector and installed the new MAP sensor. Checked the codes and cleared them. Started a couple times, no more codes.
Saturday i'll check the TPS sensor and make any adjustments before I reassemble the whole front end.
Thanks to all who made suggestions and recommendations.
PS: Highly Recommend Country Cat for parts etc.!
