If I understand correctly, they have signed up, and are looking for more dealers in Canada. I wouldn't mind trying one if they got a decent cab enclosure and heater at a reasonable price, say in March for another calving rig. So is it really a side x side?

I read that there are bolt stops on the steering you can turn in to make it turn much sharper.

For an acreage or farm I think it would be a good unit. Maybe not so good on the trails since it weighs 3,000 lbs. you would need two side by sides to get it out if it was stuck and couldn't winch out on it's own.

leaf springs on all 4 corners and not street legal are sorta deal breakers. A true SxS would be much more capable and smoother IMO. Off brands seem to be a really good way to take a huge hit on resale though if that's what you're in to lol.

Gotta remember, this is essentially a WW2 Willies Jeep. It's a modern replica with only a few modern upgrades (for both convenience and safety).

Heavy? Yeah, but you wouldn't be winching out with the piddly ass little 4500 winches we put on our sxs's, the thing comes with an 8000lb winch that'd break a rzr in half. Still, you're right, not for cushy trail rides and probably not the best skeg roamer.

My uncle had rebuilt an old willies years ago before sxs's were really a thing. It was astounding what it'd go through. The weight helps you bowl through willows and small trees. The traction and low center of gravity let you crawl over all kinds of stupid hills. He sold it years ago though, it was in rough shape.

Would I buy one? I have no place for it, too much other ****. If I was on a farm or had some acreage on the sides of a mtn... I probably would.

They actually made a pretty sweet sxs for the farm. Not saying it ain't kinda neat but I bet for the price you could find a good tj somewhere

I wouldn't buy one, I just don't see the point.
Not as good as a SXS off road and can't be driven on the road like a normal Jeep, it's like the worst of both worlds.

I'm kind of debating it with myself in my spare time. lol

We have lots of private and county dirt roads and trails that don't require something licensed, which is good, no license or individual vehicle liability insurance requirements, would be under an Umbrella Policy. But off road vehicles can be licensed if they have mirrors and turn signals.....something like that, and can be driven in town or on state hiways if you care to do that.

The miles we put on ATVs and UTVs are a lot. The Northstar Ranger 1000 we got in Dec. has well over 5000 miles on it, and would have ~1000 more if it hadn't been in the shop. The last two ATVs, Sportsman 1000s, got one last year and has something less than 9000 miles on it, got another one a few weeks ago and it has over 1000 miles on it now......not to count the 850s. I'm thinking the Roxor would have a longer life expectancy. A 4 wheeler with a bunch of miles on it isn't worth much to trade in.

Some good trails in the Black Hills that the Roxor could go on with just a $25 Forest Service sticker.

Could burn non-taxed fuel.....not like that's a big deal.

If it rode too rough, there's some younger folks here that wouldn't know the difference.

The full soft top and doors they have now in Roxor accessories don't look like they're anything too great, yet.

Will probably talk myself into getting one at some point.......or a Wrangler. lol

Looks cool. Id buy one but,,, you could get a used TJ for way cheaper, that is street legal and has coils and more hp ext ext.

I sold a 2004 TJ 6 years ago for 4000$.(that i had since new) One of my biggest regrets in life...lol It was sweet.

Can always put a slow moving orange triangle plaquecard on it. If you use it for business.
With triangle on it can not drive stoney trail, deer foot Anthony henday or other roads where slow moving vehicles are banned.
Would be legal on all fsr in bc if. Registered and insured as an atv.
Optional lockers.

My wife got her way and we got a Wrangler today. Oh well. The Roxor dealer added another $1000 worth of blue sky and ferry dust to the sticker...........so he can shove it up his ass. The Jeep dealer took a convertible Fox Body we had in trade that had lost its appeal.

The Mahindra Roxor is one unique vehicle with its Jeep CJ looks, steel frame, and 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine. Targeting a cross between UTV and Jeep enthusiasts for trails, farm work, or just all around fun, the Roxor unfortunately has a 45mph speed limit and is under powered. VR Tuned does an ECU flash to the Roxor to make this vehicle everything it should have been direct from Mahindra. Increase in horsepower and torque, as well as improved throttle response. Blowing past the 45mph speed limit is no issue as we show in our 1/4 mile test going to 73mph in 18 seconds.
Crank Horsepower Gains

  • Stock 64HP | 144ft/lbs
  • Tuned 90HP | 200ft/lbs
