I have an 09 700 grizzly with power steering that I was riding and all of a sudden steering got hard,
there is also a spot turning left that it almost locks up. Has this happened to anyone ???
If the EPS is gone I get it would be tuff to steer but would it feel like its locking up ?

Thanks for any and all help.

Might sound crazy but your CV axles good? Buddy of mine of mine tore a boot on his 07 grizzly, and it filled with mud and seized up. Could hardly turn and by the time we got back to the truck it was so stiff the suspension was pulled down on that side.

If the power steering quits, you should not notice it binding or locking. All that should happen is that you lose your power assist. I would start by pulling the power steering fuse (if it's not already blown) and checking how it behaves just in case the power assist is doing funky things. However, like Neil mentioned, it probably has nothing to do with the power assist itself.

You should be getting a eps warning light, could just need better connection on unit.

So my experience isn't with a Grizzly, but........on one of our 850 Sportsmans, a '15 with real high mileage, when the stator started getting weak the power steering sort of came and went. It was considerably harder to steer when it quit working than with one that wasn't equipped with power steering, fwiw. Make sure it's charging good and that the battery and all related connections are better than good.

Thanks everyone, well I took a look at everything mentioned and everything looked good so I took it
off the trailer to to see what I could find with it once it was doing it again, WTF everything worked perfect
for well over an hour doing hard turns and putting it through the paces ??? Hoping maybe a branch or something got stuck
up in the steering post and fell out on the way home but it will probably re appear 3 hours into the middle of nowhere....
time will tell thanks again for the input.
Cheers
