Bruderhiem fire......again

For Fawks sakes. Look like Bruderhiem is on fire again. It is just rumor but sounds like someone was camping and their fire got away from them??? Strange rumor as I didn’t think there was camping allowed and there is a fire ban on right now out there. Again just a rumor I read on Facebook.

I’d like to know if In fact there is a fire ban and that they had a campfire go out of control. If so they need to be charged and cover the costs of it. Unreal.

Fire ban on one side and fire advisory on the other. Some areas have no ban. Wonder if the riding area is in the no ban section of my screen shot.

Where abouts was the fire? In the riding area?
I didn't think there was camping around bruderhiem.

Could see the smoke from my place. Thought it was between Gibbons and the plants. Then a friend posted a picture of the smoke they saw from Tofield.

Best to stay away from the area for a while. Find other places to ride

2 distinct fires, one on either side of the highway. There are several hot areas that may have been separate or spawned by first fire. The smoke appeared early in the day so a campfire seems unlikely. 2 independent fires don't start by themselves very often so draw your own conclusions about how they started.

There was another one in the sand hills near Clyde too.

the wind was coming out of the northwest so it could have jumped 830 its pretty dry out there.

Hmm.. In prime riding areas in a time of controversy over ATV use.. weird

Maybe but I doubt it. There was no burn near the highway on either side.

I was in cold lake yesterday and there was two going.
Then on the way home the guy in front of me threw his cigarette out the window, hmmm wonder what that could do if it hit our dry ditches.

I was riding with some friends yesterday and one is a smoker he put a ashtray on his bike because they can ticket you for not having anywhere to dispose of the butt.

there is no camping there. all the people that do camp are doing it on the oil leases, very frowned upon because I gotta get the field ops to ask them to leave. there were two fires one for sure started from a group wanting a hot lunch. the other not to sure but heard it stared under a powerline.
