Before it goes in the garbage does anyone want a warn 3000lb winch for parts? It started to grind when lifting the plow and the cable is messed up. I suspect one of the gears is striped out.

I’ll take it if you can’t get warranty. The xl3000 is the cheapest warn ever built. BRP cut costs by getting warn to build them with no seals and the braking is only a single plate.
It’s easy to update them by adding a seal kit and and a regular brake assembly.

My what a mess on the cable department? Haha
I agree it is a mess. That is the reason I have the winch mounted on a winch bumper on both my sxs's. So I can actually spool the winch properly. I can pretty much guarantee that most people that have their winch mounted underneath look the same. If you can't see the cable you can see how it spools.

Oh I know ? Just ribbing you .
Really messes cable up also when using on a plow .
A short strap works way better.

I know. I have the quad up for sale with the plow. If I get another plow for the sxs I am thinking of mounting a separate 2000lb winch on the plow itself to save wear and tear on the big winch.
