2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 - trans lever sticking

I went to see a used quad today...it was a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800....it was a decent bargain considering the price and how many kms it had on it. Only real concern was that the shifter from P-R-N-L-H was sticking quite a bit when trying to shift....especially from Park to the first position (i think Reverse) ...is this a major issue? Its the first used quad i have checked out so not sure if this is a common problem with 10 yr old quads???

Not sure if the 2008 Sportsman 800s were worse than the 2006's but if I were you I would run away.....far away from that machine. I had nothing but problems top to bottom with my Sportsman 800!

I agree my cousin was going through starters like candy, it was fast but he got out of it...
