We started out and had to cut a bunch of trees on the trail close to the staging area. Lots of traffic starting to go around them. This happened a few times and things were starting to grow in. I was wondering about the club upkeep but as we got in there I understood what was going on. The place is so wet right now and the holes deep. We clean up a bunch of trees on the trails we could get to but turned around a bunch of times. Few other groups out there were the same. I am going to wait until things dry and freeze up then head back out to do some major clean up. I know if they are running the sled trails this winter as usual this will have to be done before any type of grooming happens.

The Lac Ste Anne ATV Club hasn't been able to make it out there for a while. We've got about 95 ATV mats left to lay that we purchased over 2 years ago. There seems to only be a very narrow window of opportunity to do significant maintenance in there. Cat work will be necessary and still needs approval from AEP. The club did plan to go in there around may long 2016 and go to town but we had to cancel after they implemented the province wide ATV ban. Normally, the best window for doing any major repair out there is in fall after the trail starts to dry up but before the ground is frozen solid.

Thanks to all those who take the time to pull deadfall off the trail.

Thats the new one yes. I think I will be going back out in maybe a month or so when things are more solid to cut wood off the trail.
