Finally time to upgrade my old Polaris. My wife drives a TRV and I've been very happy with it, so i'm looking. I found myself at the local dealer on the weekend and found a good deal on an Alterra 500, but, I have 2 concerns about them, and I want to bounce my concerns off the forum to see if they have any foundation or am I just concerned for nothing.
First concern are the hoses for the water pump etc, right behind the left front tire. Has anyone heard of them getting damaged, in the way or otherwise a nuisance?
Second is access behind the plastic. only one side of the plastic comes off (for oil check). How are you guys finding access for cleaning out mud and debris? I like the access my Polaris and our TRV have with both side panels being removable.
