can-am xmd trouble

A couple friends bought a 2016 and 2017 can-am xmr 850. The 16 has transmission trouble to the tune of 1200.00 Spun off shaft or something in tranny. Now before this had trouble with shifter going from high to low. When you did this the bike would move a few yards then a clunk noise and going into gear. The 17 is making same noise. Anyone else have tranny trouble on their xmr Thanks for replays

I don't know about the xmr but my old boss had a 1000 xxc (the first year it was out 2014-15) and he had to put a trans in it under warranty. It wouldn't shift then finally just quit. Maybe an ongoing problem?
