What machine?

If it's a quad, I have never heard of the bracket or linkage bending...BUT, if it is, it's probably because it is very hard to shift...which IS fairly common. If this is the case, it is time to service the 1-way bearings in the primary clutch.

Ya I have a 2012 outlander 800. It only has like 500 kms on it so it does not need the bearing yet. Once I straightened the bracket it shifted fine. It just bend some times when your in a hole and it doesn't want to shift and you can't rock it.

Try some molly in the gear oil....you are correct that the 1-ways *shouldn't* need servicing...
The "Can Am hump" is a well-known thing to get these things to shift...I do hear your pain.

The CanAm one way bearings need replacement from the show room floor. Go buy a pair of 6808RS bearings and throw the factory unsealed bearings in the garbage.

I take it these will work for the commander too? It's definitely time to change out my 1way and with a machine weighing over 2000lbs it can be a real pain in the ass to get it to switch gears sometimes.

Took my one way apart and the bearings are sealed on both side on my quad.
