We've gone in Montana. Pop into a ranger station and they'll show you where random camping etc is allowed. More dirt bike trails than quad. All marked out. You can prob get the maps online also. National forest is similar to our crown land. Bike prob needs plate and headlight.

Thanks. All bikes are plated with lights as we ride here. I want to take the kids to silverwood then carry on down to Mount St. Helens and maybe into Oregon. Just hate paying to camp and love bush camping.

Yeah. I'd check with ranger anyway about requirements. Some states require a $5 permit for out of state bikes.

Around Bend Oregon is supposed to be rad. Sand I think. Haven't looked into it much yet.

There are definitely places that will suit you.

I used to have a link to a website that had different riding areas and camp sites mapped out all over the US. I'll take a look this afternoon when I get on the computer. See if I can't dig it up.
